Responsibilities
Role Purpose
Paragon Developer is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Document Control Engineer to manage, organize, and archive all project-related documentation for Paragon Projects. The role involves handling design drawings, shop drawings, project submissions, and all associated documents throughout the design and construction phases. The ideal candidate should be a Civil Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience, capable of using industry-standard software, and ideally have an interest in sustainability and LEED certification processes.
Role Duties
Collect, classify, and archive all project documentation, including:
Design drawings
Shop drawings
Submittals and approvals
Consultant and contractor communications
Maintain an organized document control system (digital and physical) in accordance with company standards.
Ensure proper document tracking, version control, and easy retrieval of information.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal departments to ensure timely submission and approval of documentation.
Support the Technical Department with drawing reviews, document preparation, and compliance tracking.
Assist with sustainability documentation, especially related to LEED certification, where applicable.
Prepare document logs and regular reports for the Head of Technical and project teams.
Ensure all archived documents are up to date and in alignment with the project schedule and requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or a closely related field)
2–4 years of relevant experience in document control, preferably in construction or real estate development.
Management & Document Controller Essential Training
Familiarity with sustainability practices or LEED processes is a plus.
Knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
Proficient typing and editing skills
Attention to detail
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Understanding of project lifecycles in design and construction.
Interest in or experience with green building standards such as LEED.
Team player with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
